Day 66 Esperance

We must all be worn out after Jacobs birthday yesterday, as we’ve all slept in and then followed up with our laziest day so far. Jake slept in until about 8:30 this morning and the other two boys only just beat him out of bed, with Jacqui not far behind.
We had a slow-ish breakfast before heading out to search for a sheltered beach. Jacqui, the boys, and I all agree that Esperance is pretty from a photographic perspective but the wind puts a handbrake on most of the outdoor activities. We’ve only had one warm day out of the past 5 and we’re all looking forward to moving on.
With the wind stopping us from settling into a sunny beach, we strolled around town stopping for coffee and new music before heading back to the van for lunch. The boys enjoyed their 1st day of just hanging around in the past 65 days and Jacqui and I spent our time tidying a few loose ends before heading off tomorrow.
All up, we enjoyed a day of doing not much, and taking virtually no pictures. Tomorrow will see us heading into the Nullarbor and we’re all looking forward to getting our first look at The Great Australian Bite. It must surely be more interesting than Esperance.
Cheers,
Jorg
